Responsibilities

Build trusted client relationships through proactive account management and effective project delivery

Establishes knowledge of client business challenges and priorities to translate into opportunities

Maintains regular client communication and satisfaction, ensuring opportunities and challenges are addressed in a timely manner.

Helps deliver presentations to clients and management teams

Contributes to project discoveries, kickoff, prepare proposals and statements of work following company standards

Translate client’s business needs into detailed business requirements documents, use cases and systems interaction diagrams

Gather, document and analyze output of business and data requirements using any of the following methodologies: use cases, function/non function requirements, epics/user stories

Improve systems or process by studying current practices, identifying process improvements, and designing modifications

Follow and execute against the specific business analysis requirements as defined by the business organization

Helps to establish critical path, milestones, delivery dates, and review client deliverables to ensure they meet client acceptance criteria

Provides leadership throughout the lifecycles of a project, guiding the understanding the project team has through design and development to ensure project requirements are met

Helps establish project test strategy, methodologies, test plans as well as assist with test execution

 

Job Requirement

 

Cable/Telecom experience is required.

3 years of professional business analysis experience, with strong relationship management, account management, and support experience.

Experience working with external clients.

Knowledge of Agile and iterative development methodologies.

Understanding of current technologies and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Product Management / Product Integration experience.

Ability to obtain, understand and respond strategically to client needs.

Highly detail oriented, well organized, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

Energetic, motivated, service-oriented, and be able to multi task.

Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Job Description

 The main responsibility of this position is to manage the infrastructure system. Server management is a primary responsibility, especially for: Installing, maintaining and upgrading servers.

 

When a system is developed, Systems Engineers test it to ensure that it accomplishes what it is supposed to. Often testing involves attempts to intentionally break the system to identify any problem areas. Existing systems also are tested regularly.

Once a system is launched, a Systems Engineer is responsible for monitoring its operation, troubleshooting problems that arise and keeping the system running smoothly. This includes creating reports and other documentation outlining your findings and solutions. As a Systems Engineer, you also provide support to users of a system.

Also responsible for ensuring the servers are backed up, performance and availability are monitored, and that the server data is secure from unauthorized access.

Perform programming (usually scripting, which involves writing programs to automate tasks and create tools to help NOC to perform basic operation and analysis);

Troubleshooting reading log files and capturing live network packets.

 

Requirements

 

Good knowledge of UNIX (Linux, Solaris) and Window System administration;

Extensive operational experience with Unix system (Linux, Solaris)

Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP protocols and applications implementing them;

Knowledge of virtualization technologies and blade systems and Cloud computing technology.

Ability to work with hardware parts (Servers components, SAN/NAS storage systems, fibre channel switches).

Good knowledge of load balancing system, both Open-Source and Commercial solutions;

Operational experience with security issues and access control mechanisms (Iptables, pf packet filtering) and sniffing packets for troubleshooting purposes (tcpdump, snoop, tshark and wire shark)

Knowledge of network monitoring and other network administrative tools (SNMP based, ie Cacti, Mrtg, HP- Open View, BMC monitoring and not only ie. Nagios).

 

Formal Education

 

The Systems Engineer will have a bachelor’s degree of Computer Science and Engineering and at least 02 years of System Engineering experience.
